Yesterday I was visiting the Tall Ships Races in Turku which will be the host city of 72 sailing ships over this weekend.

The Tall Ships Races is the largest sailing event in Europe with more than half a million visitors. The event is also part of Finland’s 100th anniversary celebration.

There have been also plenty of activities, concerts and restaurants along the Aura river and there will be also a firework on Saturday.

I also had the opportunity to walk on deck of the Shabab Oman II, which is a 87 metres long full-rigged ship. Here you can also watch a video how the ships leave Turku.
