Recently, I was looking for a new case for my MacBook Pro 13″ 2018 with Touch Bar which I can also take with me on light outdoor activities.
I came across the Thule Gauntlet 13″ MacBook Attaché which I found to be one of the best outdoor case to protect my MacBook Pro.

If you are more looking for a case which you can use for your office then you might also have a look at the Inateck 13-13.3 Inch Sleeve Case Cover
I came across the Thule Gauntlet 13″ MacBook Attaché which I found one of the best outdoor case to protect my MacBook Pro.
The Thule Gauntlet 13″ MacBook Attaché is not completely waterproof but has a water-resistant zipper and shell so you can carry your MacBook also in bad weather conditions.
This case might be also quite handy if you drive to your cottage on the countryside or if you plan to do some outdoor photography sessions where you need your MacBook to edit or manage your pictures and videos on the spot or just want to save your pictures on your hard drive.
Alternatively, you might also consider taking a WD My Passport Wireless if you only plan to store pictures.
The shell of the case should also absorb some bumps due to its solid construction.
Thule Subterra 13″ MacBook Sleeve
There is also the Thule Subterra 13″ MacBook Sleeve available, however, you won’t be able to fit in your power cables an additional iPad and other accessories.
For me, it was a logical choice to go with the Thule Gauntlet 13″ MacBook Attaché as I am planning to take my MacBook Pro with me when I want to take pictures on a longer trip where I do not stay in a tent overnight.
What’s more, I can also use my MacBook without taking it out of the case. Let’s say I am sitting in the train and want to use my MacBook then I would just open the zipper of the Thule case and I am ready to type.
Also, the additional pocket for the iPad protects it’s screen if you are planning to take it along with your MacBook Pro. There are also interior dividers for accessories.
Personally, I think that a case without room for accessories doesn’t make much sense especially if you travel for a few days as you won’t have space for your charger.
