Even though the weekend started with rain, Saturday afternoon cleared up and I went with Joni from the Leftbound blog to Hynkänlampi for an overnighter.

I parked my car at the parking spot nearby the Sorlammen luontopolku and walked about 1.5 km across the Nuuksion Ratsastuskeskus until I reached Hynkänlampi – a little lake with clear water and a serviced fireplace.

After we have pitched our tents, we prepared our early dinner and then I went for a short walk to explore the cliff at one end of the lake. There is a small trail up to the cliff and on top of it I found an unofficial fireplace and a great view towards the lake.

Afterwards, we just spent our time at the fireplace and talked about different things until it was time to get into our sleeping bags. The night was calm and refreshing but not cold.

I woke up around 6.30 am and took some pictures of the lake which was covered with fog. At 8 am Joni woke up and we prepared breakfast.

I decided to spend the remaining morning at Haltia which is just 7 km away from Hynkänlampi, where I walked up to the nearby Nuuksio bike park to take a few pictures of the big lake – Nuuksion Pitkäjärvi. Later on I had lunch in Ravintola Haltia which was a bit pricey but delicious.
